The reception & common areas here at Northgate Business Centre display appropriate signage to restrict access when social distancing is not possible or practical.

We work collaboratively with all tenants & visitors to help ensure consistency across common areas, for example, receptions, staircases and when available, our meeting spaces.

Screens have been installed at reception to help protect staff & visitors whilst in reception. Available common area, meeting room seating and tables have been reconfigured or adjusted, to help maintain spacing & a reduction in direct face-to-face interactions.
We also encourage our staff to remain on-site and, when not possible, maintain social distancing while off-site.

Meeting Spaces

When available, we currently encourage the use of meeting spaces in conjunction with remote conference tools to reduce in-person meetings.
It is important that meetings be restricted to necessary participants where there is a requirement to physically attend meetings and that they should maintain social distancing guidelines (2m, or 1m with risk mitigation where 2m is not viable, is acceptable). For this reason we also advise that you check with our reception team for any additional requirements you may require to be put in place, prior to booking a meeting space (e.g. relating to the impact of Government Guidance).

To help avoiding transmission during meetings, for example, we recommend avoiding sharing pens, documents and other objects. As part of the Northgate Business Centre COVID response, there is provision of hand sanitiser in meeting rooms and at various convenient locations throughout the building, including common areas & entrance/exit points.

For areas where regular meetings take place, we do not currently employ floor signage as seating can be/is arranged to help people maintain social distancing.

Managing Contacts

We are currently limiting visitor times to a specific time window, where meeting rooms are available to book or where on-site businesses have a visitor requirement. Similarly,  since January 5th 2021 we are restricting access to required visitors only.

We maintain a record of all visitors, where practical and are encouraging all tenants & visitors to use hand sanitiser or handwashing facilities as they enter Northgate Business Centre.

Cleaning Practice

Frequent cleaning of work areas and equipment between uses, using our usual cleaning products alongside enhanced anti-bacterial preparations is carried out by a contracted cleaning company.
Daily cleaning of objects and surfaces that are touched regularly, including door handles banister rails is carried out after hours, but we also ensure there are adequate disposal arrangements for cleaning products within each of our Serviced Offices, Common Areas & Reception. Encouraging use thereof.

Where cleaning after a known or suspected case of COVID-19 then Management & our Cleaning Provider will always refer to the current, specific guidance available at www.gov.uk.
